ZipForm® Earns REALTOR® Secure and PCI Certifications
Clinton Township, MI - February 1, 2007 - ZipForm®, the real estate industry's leading brand of forms software, today announced it has earned certification status with two leading security programs and is now officially REALTOR® Secure Certified and PCI Compliant. These designations reinforce the brand's established reputation for applying industry standards and handling sensitive transaction data with the utmost in security.
Developed by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS® (NAR) and NAR's Center for REALTOR® Technology (CRT), the REALTOR® Secure program certifies that policies and procedures are in place to protect real estate information and systems from internal and external risks and to prevent business interruptions. The program uses third-party consultants to administer technology evaluations based on industry best practices for security.

Guidelines for the payment card industry (PCI) compliance certification were developed by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover for merchants and payment processors to protect credit card information. These guidelines detail extensive requirements that merchants must follow to ensure credit card information is properly protected. The security measures of PCI compliant vendors and merchants are reviewed on a regular basis to make certain they continue to meet the stated criteria.
